Societal impact

DTU Electro wants to pave the way for innovations using light and electronics as the enabling technology in order to develop and improve key areas in society.

Four key areas define our technology-applied research and education. These four research areas are interdisciplinary by nature and are based on the needs and requirements from the industry and society in general within photonics and electro technology.

These areas represent the key areas, in which we see ourselves as attractive for industry as strategic collaborators and where we can contribute to education of students at a world leading level for the benefit of industry and society.

We consider collaboration with external partners as an important and strategic mission regarding the development of technology. Collaboration ensures that our research-based knowledge and technologies are being disseminated to society. Industrial collaboration is a key access for DTU Electro researchers to the research and innovation agenda in the business community.
