This Friday the winners of the student conference “Green Battle” (Grøn Dyst) were announced by MP Sofie Carsten Nielsen (R). Four students from DTU Electrical Engineering were among the winners.
Nikolaj Kammersgaard, Andreas Kastoft and Nicolai Boeegh won a second prize for their project “Universal charging from PV” in the category Course Project Bachelor Level. With the prize followed 10.000 Danish Kroner.
The aim of the project was to design a PV charging system that could be a proper alternative for diesel/gas generators in countries without central power supply.
Lasse Emil Korff won a first prize for his project “Digital Control in Piezotransformer-based Converters “ in the category Course Project Master Level. With the prize followed 50.000 Danish Kroner.
The results of Lasse Korff’s project have proven to show that control of PT-based converters can be done using digital control with close equal performance. This is evaluated to increase flexibility of the converter use and decrease the component count.
