Talk by Dr. Xi (Vivian) Chen, Nokia Bell Labs, USA
Ultra-High Speed Optical Transceiver Designs
Abstract
This talk aims to offer an overview of the research activities at the Opto-Electronic Subsystem Group at Nokia Bell Labs (New Jersey, United States). The topics include components and subsystem designs for ultra-high-speed coherent transceivers, relevant DSP techniques and modulation formats, etc. The scope of the applications ranges from solutions for the near future as well as possible subsystem designs for future transmission systems. Innovative solutions for shorter distances will be discussed as well.
