Henrik Niemann's 40th jubilee

From nearly empty lecture halls in the 90’s to reflections on AI in today’s exam rooms, Associate Professor Niemann has spent four decades growing alongside DTU, and we're marking his 40 years at DTU.

A mechanical engineer by training who became a cornerstone of electrical engineering education, Niemann has shaped generations of students – sometimes with nothing more than an open door and a bit of patience.

While his own research is built brick by brick like Legos, he takes particular pride in seeing his PhD students turn theory into real-world impact in collaboration with the industry.

Niemann’s career is defined not by one grand breakthrough, but by steady foundations, quiet influence, and a lasting commitment to helping the next generation move forward.
